Grey zone lymphoma - diagnostic and therapeutic challenge

چکیده
Introduction. ?Grey zone Lymphoma?? is associated with various entities. The last published classification of lymphoproliferative neoplasms includes mediastinal grey lymphoma. Precise diagnostic criteria are insufficient and establishing a diagnosis as complex deciding on treatment options. In this article pathologist hematologist discuss issues topic through case presentation literature review. Clinical characteristics. It presents in the younger population usually mass, sometimes large, compressive symptoms. Pathologic Some cases can?t be classified neither Hodgkin nor Primary B-cell Morphology resembles Hodgkin, but positive immunophenotype for primary or diffuse large lymphoma, vice versa. Case report. We presented 33-year-old male cervical lymphadenomegaly, B symptoms clinical deterioration during period. After first biopsy, differential was Epstein-Barr virus-associated disorder classical second biopsy confirms virus-positive World Health Organization Classification - perspective. term ?grey lymphoma? overlapping uncertainty more settings than ones provided 5th Classification. Discussion. For now, chemotherapeutic regimen (rituximab-cyclophos phamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, prednisone) stays standard line therapy lymphoma regardless Epstein- Barr virus status. Mediastinal varies: linked better outcomes (adriablastin, bleomycin, vinblastine, dacarbazine) +/-R, some patients (dose adjusted-etoposide, prednisone, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin) might beneficial. Conclusion. Grey rare hematologic malignancy that needs extensive sampling correct still subject to inter-observer variability.

Ocular involvement in lymphoma is a relatively rare condition that can result from a primary intraocular lymphoma or an intraocular manifestation of systemic lymphoma. متن کاملA grey zone for quantitative diagnostic and screening tests.
BACKGROUND Most quantitative tests do not perfectly discriminate between subjects with and without a given disease and their results do not always allow certainty about disease status for diagnostic or screening purposes. We propose a method to construct a three-zone partition for quantitative tests to avoid the binary constraint of a 'black or white' decision that often does not fit the realit...
متن کاملNodal marginal zone lymphoma: gene expression and miRNA profiling identify diagnostic markers and potential therapeutic targets.
Nodal marginal zone lymphoma (NMZL) is a small B-cell neoplasm whose molecular pathogenesis is still essentially unknown and whose differentiation from other small B-cell lymphomas is hampered by the lack of specific markers. We have analyzed gene expression, miRNA profile, and copy number data from 15 NMZL cases. For comparison, 16 follicular lymphomas (FLs), 9 extranodal marginal zone lymphom...
